I am fired up about the word God has for me to share with our people on this coming Sunday: “Even Now: The Outpouring of the Holy Spirit.” As we have studied the Old Testament book of Joel, we are now moving to that dynamic passage found in Joel 2:28-32. This is a word for my life and your life, our church, the GCR in the SBC, and also for all evangelical churches. Oh my, what a great word of promise it is.

Speaking of the Super Bowl, who will win this coming Sunday evening? I am so glad you asked me because I want to give you my pick for the 2010 Super Bowl Champion. Are you ready? I like both of these teams and while I do not have an overall preference, I really believe the World Champions will be the Indianapolis Colts. Why? There is a simple answer: Peyton Manning. I just do not see any one stopping him at this highest level of competition. He is one amazing leader who models for everyone the principle of preparation.
