Pray for Johnny Hunt
Johnny Hunt, Senior Pastor of the First Baptist Church in Woodstock, Georgia, and President of the Southern Baptist Convention, needs our prayers. Dr. Hunt was diagnosed with prostate cancer in November and is scheduled for surgery this Thursday morning at 11:30 a.m. Therefore, please join his family, church, and friends in praying for him.
Dr. Hunt is one of the great leaders of our day. He is a courageous preacher of the gospel. He has been used of God to build one of the greatest churches in the entire world. It is a strategic mission center. Few men have the enormous influence upon so many lives as Dr. Hunt.
Let’s activate all of our prayer groups, prayer services, and prayer ministries to pray for Dr. Hunt tomorrow. Pray for his wife, Janet, and their family, as well as their church family. We are praying for a successful surgery, concluding in a good report.
Dr. Johnny Hunt is a great friend. I love him dearly and I am before the Father for Him daily. I had planned to go to Atlanta for the surgery, but I had a challenging virus last week while away and then had some kind of relapse of it on Sunday night and Monday. Therefore, I have made the decision that it is best for me to not be present.
Will you join me in praying? Thanks for doing so. May God be praised and Jesus magnified through this entire experience. May our Johnny Hunt be healed by our Lord and may He experience in the future the greatest days of his life and ministry.
I will pray for Bro.Johnny and our church will also. When I think of Johnny Hunt I think,”fire ball.” He has been and still is on fire for Jesus.
I AM A MEMBER AT FIRST BAPTIST CHURCH WOODSTOCK .I AM ASKING EVERYONE AT 11:30AM TO JUST STOP WHAT EVER YOUR DOING TO SAY A PRAYER FOR THE DOCTORS , NURSES, AND HIS FAMILY THAT EVERYTHING GOES WELL AND THE DOCTORS WILL REMOVE EVERY BIT OF THE CANCER FROM HIS PROSTATE. HE IS A VERY GODLY MAN AND I LOVE HIM AS MY PASTOR.

Every night when I tuck my 10 year son to bed, I ask him for prayer requests, and he always says, “Pastor Johnny!” Jordan wants to sit on the front row of the service just so he can see Pastor Johnny better. We love our pastor and yes, we are praying for our Pastor, Mrs. Janet, and the doctors. Count us in.

My husband just had surgery for prostate cancer and is now healing. Praying for the team of doctors involved and that God would give them wisdom in every detail. Praying for a good prognosis after surgery and that he will heal quickly and completely. Praying also for the family to give then peace and wisdom that God is faithful.

We have committed this day to pray for our friend and mentor in Jesus; Pastor Johnny Hunt. There is assurance that God will hear our prayers for the wellness of Pastor Johnny and bring him back to complete health so he can continue on our journey andhe will profess God love for us all.James 3:17 “But the wisdom that is from above is first pure,then peaceable,gentle,willing to tield, full of mercy and great fruits, without partiality and without hypocrisy.” Pastor Johnny will be return to full health because we need him and God knoes that.
