What Is Ahead for Us?

Within the next few days we will enter the major summer months, so what is ahead for us? If God gives us life on this earth and Jesus tarries, what is ahead for us?

Each Sunday is our Super Bowl. Nothing happens any more important than the Sunday event in our ministry here in Northwest Arkansas. It is critical in every. This is the event we worship and we invite others to join us at weekly. Oh friend, do not miss the Sunday events when you are in town this summer.

Events are multiple this summer and I am praying for them by name daily. There are many significant events that provide opportunities for major life change and life-altering decisions. What a privilege to be a part of such a blessed fellowship that offers so many things for their entire church.

All of this calls us to pray and pray daily. Nothing is more important for us to do for our church than to pray. Do not minimize the power of prayer. I was in a prayer meeting last Thursday night from 9:00-11:00 p.m. at Pinnacle Hills with mostly laypeople and God came down powerfully. The only connection those people have weekly at that moment is prayer. They come from all walks of life, from both of our campuses, joining together for one reason alone: to pray for their church. It was powerful!

While we are experiencing some good moments of life, let’s not forget our friends I wrote about yesterday, the Forrest Pollock family and Bell Shoals Baptist Family in Brandon, Florida. Yesterday’s post shared with you about Forrest and his son being killed in a plane crash. He leaves his wife and five other children, along with a devastated church family. On Saturday morning at 9:30 (EST) the memorial service will be held for Forrest and his son. Oh my heart hurts for all of them every time I think of it.
