Easter In Northwest Arkansas

Categories:Between Sundays

What a great time of the year and to make it even better, this coming Sunday is the celebration of our Lord’s resurrection!

There is no doubt about it; Easter Sunday is a very special day for families and friends to get together. And, I couldn’t think of a better way to make your weekend absolutely outstanding than to join us here at the First Baptist Church of Springdale and The Church at Pinnacle Hills for one of our special Easter services. We are offering 6 different service times:

  • First Baptist Church of Springdale
Saturday at 6:30 PM, Sunday at 9:15 AM or 10:55 AM
  • The Church at Pinnacle Hills
Saturday at 5:00 PM, Sunday at 9:15 AM or 10:55 AM

All of these services will be held in the main worship center on both campuses.

I am also excited to tell you that during these services I will be starting a new series of messages on “The Compassion of The Christ.” These past few weeks God has taken me on a journey of rediscovering the personal care that He has for each and every one of us. I honestly believe these messages are for all of us and can literally be life-changing!

So, join me, our wonderful worship team, the entire First Baptist or Pinnacle Hills family as we celebrate the glorious fact that Jesus Christ is alive! Invite and bring every family member and friend you can find for what I believe will be a time of worship we will not soon forget.

I am looking forward to seeing you this Easter weekend. Until then, let’s pray together that God will meet with us in an unusual way, and may He be glorified in all we do.

Real Ministry

Categories:Between Sundays

This week on both campuses we are having a special time with the widows in our church. This past Sunday following the morning worship service at Pinnacle Hills, I met with the widows over an enjoyable lunch time. I listened to some of our men stand up and give testimony of their care for the needs of these widows, and it was powerful. Real ministry to them is occurring. I brought the event to conclusion with some words of encouragement and a restatement of our commitment as a church to meet their needs.

On Thursday night at our Springdale Campus, we will have a special time of fellowship with the widows who attend that campus. I will say a few words to open the night and remind them of our commitment to minister to them. This fellowship among our people is so valuable.

This year, Jeana and I are having our picture made with each widow present just to etch the evening in our minds. I want them to know they can count on our church to perform New Testament Ministry to the widows in our church. This is mandated to the church by the Word of God. We receive the assignment with compassion for them, but we also receive it gladly.

God blesses the church that cares for the widows … this my friend, IS Real Ministry.

Great Sunday and Gators Win

Categories:Between Sundays

Sunday was a fabulous day on both campuses as the Holy Spirit fell upon each service, with many people coming to Christ and so many others joining the community of faith. It was a special day, some have told me one of the greatest services in their lives. What made it that way? The elements were special, from songs, to graphics, to testimony, to the Lord’s Supper, but it all comes down to the presence of God. When HE shows up, everything changes dramatically.

We praise our blessed Lord for what He did. Consider the power of God this week in your life. Let Him rule.

Easter weekend is coming … choose to be a part of one of our six services between both of our campuses.

Oh yes, on a lesser level of importance, the Gators won and my final predictions were right, even though disaster existed beforehand.

Have a wonderful Spring Day
