Speaking at our school this morning
This morning I am speaking at our own Shiloh Christian School. We have a school with just under 750 students from Kindergarten through 12th grade. It is fully accredited by three different and nationally-recognized accrediting agencies. Our school is committed to coming alongside parents in assisting them to raise their children.
Our school is committed to a Bible-based world view being taught in a spiritual environment. We are centered in Christ alone and stand solid on the authority of His Word. It is our goal that each faculty member, whatever their level of employment, would live by biblical Principles and by the power of the Holy Spirit, demonstrating outstanding Christianity and churchmanship. This is far more important than so many things. If we want students who are contagious for Jesus, His Church, and committed to His Great Commission, then it is my goal to see this demonstrated through the lives of every Shiloh employee.
Our school is committed to college prepatory academics. 99% of our graduates go on to college, and we are committed to getting them ready to live life within those institutions, being able to compete with the best minds in America. Last week in a meeting, we discussed several ways we could take this to an entirely new level, engaging students to the very last day they are with us in their senior year, preparing them in every way to enter the collegiate ranks, not only as students academically, but spiritually.
Our school is committed to outstanding Athletics and Spirit Groups. Teenagers love to have fun and engage in life in many ways. Athletics and Spirit Groups serve as outstanding ways to build community, fellowship, and friendships for a lifetime. Education cannot eliminate the power of community. Experiencing life together, even through competition, can help build that community. Right now in our high school, we have two of the most outstanding basketball teams playing, with both having potential to win a state championship just like our football team did in December. Now for those of you who read this who may not live in Arkansas, but in our state, private schools compete in the public school league, and we like it that way. Our Band has exploded in the past two to three years, another way to build community. The list could go on and on. Shiloh Christian School is not a perfect school, but a great place for children.
Pray for me today as I speak to them this morning.
Pray for Shiloh Christian School, its growth, and its future.
