Just News

Categories:Between Sundays

At times in my blog, I just want to relate news. I am going to do that in the simplest format for writing and understanding.

  1. Big Summit today and we are very near to sell out status, so call asap if you don’t have tickets. This is our last Summit for the spring season and will resume our meetings in early fall. We have a very special guest today from Atlanta. He is the former President and COO of The Ritz Carlton Group. The Ritz Carlton has what some believe perhaps the finest hotels and resorts in the world. “Guests” are their specialty. You will love today.
  2. Yesterday was jam-packed. We had a special luncheon at our Pinnacle Hills job site for all the sub-contractors and vendors of the project. I would guess we had 200-250 people present.  We just wanted to say thanks for helping us build this house for the Lord’s people to worship Him. God is still feared as some of the workers expressed what a blessing it was for them to work on this project.  Always stop long enough to say thanks.
  3. After that meeting and other stuff pertaining, I came back and dialogued in front of the camera as we did our television shoots for upcoming programs. Part of it was my normal practice, but we also spent an hour or so shooting to “live tape” as our own Jordan Cox talked with me on camera about the favor of God and life. He did a great job and I am so grateful to God for him. His history is sports television, though we did not do sports yesterday. You never know, maybe next time!
  4. The spring football game for the Razorbacks is Saturday afternoon at 1:00 p.m. I will be there as long as I can before I have to leave to get ready for the two Saturday evening services for Easter. Come and participate. It is a good event for football lovers, but also a great event to enjoy warm weather again. Hallelujah! I hope to see you there.
  5. Review yesterday’s blog. There is some important stuff in there in which to engage.

Just news and life … it goes on … thank God!

This Weekend Is Huge

Categories:Between Sundays

This is one big weekend!  We are offering 6 services between both of our campuses.  Two of those will be on Saturday late afternoon and early evening, while four of them will be offered on Sunday morning.  This is a great opportunity to engage and bring others.  The times are available here for both locations.

THREE DAYS concludes on Easter weekend.  Everywhere I go, people are talking about it.  They love the simplicity, but strength of the drama.  They love the build-up towards Easter weekend.  They love having something special on Sunday mornings to bring their friends and families.  Do not miss the final day:  The Day of Victory!

RESPONDING TO THE DA VINCI CODE is the title of my five week series that begins this weekend.  One of the most engaging and provocative books ever written, turning into a movie release on May 19th calls us to speak to the Da Vinci movement.  I guarantee you that I will be prepared.  Just to get to the point of beginning to prepare the messages, I estimated to Jeana this morning, I have spent between 38-40 hours getting ready just to be able to sit down and prepare messages from God’s Word speaking to the issues.  From that point, several days have to be given to prepare the messages themselves.  This is a huge task, but one that I have found rewarding personally and I believe you will find it very helpful to your life.  God is creating a moment for us to show how strong our God is.  Join me:  Let’s not miss God’s moment to advance the Good News.

The Raising of our 1st of 3 crosses at the Pinnacle Hills Campus is Friday at 11:45 a.m. as we kick-off Easter weekend.  Do not miss it!  Signs and people will point you to the proper place.  I hope that several hundred of you gather with me for these spiritual moments on this Good Friday.  It was Good Friday, Resurrection Weekend, when Jesus was raised up on the cross.  How appropriate for us to raise up the 1st of 3 crosses on this day as a testimony of His death for us.  The gathering will not be long, but is open to any and every person.  The base is going up now for this 145′ cross, the shortest of the three crosses.  On Friday, we will witness the final part of the cross raised up declaring to all of Northwest Arkansas the forgiveness of sins and eternal life offered by our Lord.

Is this not shaping up for one great weekend?  Join us.

Today Has Been Fuller Than Full!

Categories:Between Sundays

Hey, it is 8:30 p.m. (cst) on Tuesday and I am just now getting to the point to even write blog.  The day has been fuller than full!  Ever had one of those kind of weeks?

One quick word until tomorrow:  Come and hear the new series on Easter weekend, “Responding To The Da Vinci Code . . . Seek The Truth”.  I am doing five weeks on it beginning on Easter weekend.  What a great avenue for inviting and encouraging others to engage in worship with you.  We have six services this Easter weekend between both campuses.  Find the one that best accommodates you and bring someone with you.

Until Wednesday. . .

Great Weekend…God is Good!

Categories:Between Sundays

It has been a great weekend with family and church.  My Mom and sister joined us as well as Jeana’s mom.  We spent time together from Friday afternoon until late last night.  They are returning to the Lone Star State early this morning.

Many have asked me about Mom’s need for prayer:  just pray her house sells.  This is their #1 financial and practical need.  The adjustment will be very difficult, but we need a miracle.  After this occurs, we will do our best to get them in a smaller home.  Thanks for praying.

Peyton, Josh, and Kate hung out with us on Saturday for most of the day.  On Friday night we took care of Peyton as Josh and Kate attended a small group gathering.  Last night they came over after church.  It has been good for us to be together.  We would have loved to have had Nick and Meredith with us.  That would have made the weekend complete to the fullest.

Pray for Nick today.  He is in class from early morning to late night tonight in his day of seminary education.  He is nearing finals and really is feeling enormous pressure right now with the normal pressures of ministry life in a growing environment.

Church on both campuses was special yesterday.  Emphasizing the sacrificial death of Jesus Christ on the cross was powerful.  THREE DAYS has been a great success and we are grateful to our staff teams for pulling it off.  Next Sunday is our Day of Victory!

It was disappointing to see very limited response to the public invitation yesterday.  The Worship Centers were packed at both locations, yet response to the message of the cross was very limited.  My heart was broken as I drove from Springdale to Pinnacle Hills yesterday.  The breaking only climaxed as I drove away from Pinnacle Hills.  I asked myself and Jeana:  “Lord, what is the problem?”  “Is it me, Lord?”  “What are you saying to us?”  “Are we so ‘used to the message’ it no longer means anything to us?”  “Out of the thousands present yesterday, were there not any people who truly needed a relationship with Jesus?”  I know better than that.  Hey, what do we have if we have thousands present, new buildings and ministries, and innovative technology that can touch the world, but yet we do not see people come to Christ consistently in numbers in comparison to our attendance and potential.  I will let you answer that one.  I believe I know the answer already.

The bottom line:  we need spiritual revival.  We need God to touch down upon us to the point of really fulfilling the mission to reach our region for Jesus.  People are so distracted with “their stuff,” “their kids,” “their recreation,” and “their business,” they are disconnected intimately with God.  We have forms of godliness, but live as if we are denying the power of it.  God help us and bring revival.

We need spiritual resurrection . . . maybe next weekend.  This is my prayer.

Special Weekend Coming…

Categories:Between Sundays

My Mom and sister as well as Jeana’s mom, will be here to spend the weekend with us. They will arrive on Friday afternoon and depart on Monday morning early. This will be the very first time my Mom has traveled to see us since my Dad’s sudden death last November. We are looking forward to them coming.

They will get to experience our Sunday with us at both campuses, so that will be special. This will give our people a chance to meet them. They will accompany us to the special luncheon we are having at Pinnacle Hills. Pray for their safe travel this afternoon and tomorrow morning.

Sunday will be very special…the preparations for Day #2 in our THREE DAYS has received some powerful reviews from our people. Please do not miss Sunday at one of our campuses at either 9:15 or 10:45 a.m. We are also observing The Lord’s Supper on this coming Sunday.

Meredith’s birthday is Saturday. We were hoping that she and Nick were going to be able to come up for Friday and part of Saturday, but they are just unable. Nick is teaching both Saturday night and Sunday morning in his ministry, as well as doing a special “move-in ministry” on Saturday all day for people moving into their apartment building. They did this same thing about six weeks ago as a way to gain the favor of people for the gospel. They give several hours to assisting whoever is moving into their building on that day. What a great ministry. I am confident that Meredith will have a special birthday on Saturday as well, even though we will miss spending it and celebrating her day with them.

Check out these new pictures of Peyton!

DEEP into Preparations on, “Responding To The Da Vinci Code”

Categories:Between Sundays

Yes, I am very deep into preparations for a five-week series on the best-selling book of our time, to be released in a film format on May 19th, called, The Da Vinci CodeThe book has captivated the world, making its author, Dan Brown, one of the 100 most powerful and influential men in the entire world, according to Time Magazine.

I have prepared a six-page document and presentation for my entire staff team that I shared with them on Monday.  From this design, I am finishing up my first message right now.  In fact, on Thursday, I will put the finishing touches on it.

I will begin the series on Easter Weekend.  I will not discourage our people from reading the book or going to the movie.  This is a great moment for us to become Christian apologists, being able to articulate our faith to millions across the world.  This is why the title of my series is, “Responding To The Da Vinci Code.”  I am very excited about it and have taken days of intense study and preparation to even get to this point of preparation.

“Seek The Truth” is the invitation of the author and book, so this needs to become our invitation to others, “Come and seek the truth with me.”  Begin right now, thinking about who you desire to invite to church with you on Easter weekend.

This is a great moment for dialogue . . . a great moment for truth . . . a great moment for God…SEIZE THE DAY!

Reflections…

Categories:Between Sundays

Can I reflect on a few matters with you?  Sometimes I run so fast through life, I do not stop and reflect.  Do you identify with that?  Now I have my personal time with God always, but I am talking about a different kind of reflection even though there is some crossover to what is on my heart today.  Let me share three of these reflections with you now.

Reflections on THREE DAYS … a powerful, visual pathway to Easter weekend we are doing on Sunday mornings built around the message of God’s Word taught and preached.  Sunday we celebrated THE DAY OF MINISTRY … the ministry of Jesus.  Both of our Worship teams did a great job in preparation and fulfillment of that preparation this past weekend.  I believe our people now understand our goal of using music, worship, video, drama, and preaching as the complete package of calling us to celebrate the ministry of Jesus Christ.  On this coming Sunday, do not miss it:  THE DAY OF SACRIFICE.  I promise you that it will be one powerful moment for you as we participate in the Living Lord’s Supper.  My message this Sunday is, “Jesus’ Cross Is God’s Power.“  Connect with us on this coming Sunday morning.

Reflections on Prayer:  this past Sunday I used prayer in a unique manner in my message doing ministry via prayer in my message.  The response was tremendous and I am very thankful to God.  It was “a risk,” but something I felt definite direction from our Lord.  I prayed for people who needed deliverance; then healing; and then transformation.  It reminded me again of the great needs people walk into worship with weekly as they carry them through life daily.

Reflections on Winners: we are now taking the Gospel of Jesus to the world daily via our television ministry.   Yesterday our television team presented me a beautiful piece to hang on my wall that included a congratulatory letter from Marcus Lamb, President of DayStar; a copy of the broadcast DVD; and a piece denoting our new look of Winners.  I was blessed and overwhelmed.  Today at 2:00 p.m. CST, whatever time that is around the world, everywhere they can hear the Word of God right here from Northwest Arkansas.  You know folks, God is good.  Pray for us daily.

Reflecting with me might lead you to reflect on what God is seemingly doing in your life.  Take a moment today…reflect…look back…see what God is doing.

Thank you Jesus, for working in my life.

World-Wide Daily Television Begins Today

Categories:Between Sundays

For years I have stood before a large wall-sized world map on Sunday mornings, gazing at it in prayer.  I have asked God for years, “Let me one day preach the Good News of Jesus Christ to the entire world daily.”  I never knew this may be possible, but it was my God-sized request.  I did not know if that meant equipping others to go into the all the world or me preaching to the entire world.

On this 3rd day of April, 2006, God is answering this prayer by permitting me to preach the Good News of Jesus Christ to the entire world daily via television.  With technology across the world, the message of the gospel will ring out world-wide beginning today, right here from Northwest Arkansas.  When I came here almost 20 years, on the day I was voted to become the next pastor, I told the church these words:  “If Wal-Mart can put retail centers world-wide, Tyson can put poultry world-wide, J.B. Hunt Transport can put trucks world-wide, and Razorbacks can exist world-wide from the University of Arkansas, THEN, God surely wants his church to be able to take the Good News of Jesus to the entire world right here from Northwest Arkansas.”  Well, that day has come.  Even though we do at least 12 mission trips a year as a church, mobilizing hundreds around the world, having started churches on every continent of the world, and many other things, today is a new day.  This is the day God has given us the fufillment of this vision for this season in our lives.  We are more than blessed and we say, “thanks Lord!”

The DayStar Christian Television Network is the second largest Christian network in the world and the fastest growing as well.  Last year on their own programming, they recorded actual names and decisions for Christ from over 145 countries of the world.  Their reach is massive.  You may want to visit their website to learn how they reach out techonologically across America and the entire world.  Their website is:  www.daystar.com  In fact, you can watch this network “live” 24/7 even from your computer.

We will be viewed daily at 2:00 p.m. Central Time on Monday through Friday, as well as Sundays at 4:30 p.m.  These 30-minute shows will eventually be varied in venue, but will preach the true Gospel of Jesus Christ, extending opportunties weekly for people to come to Christ.  Pray for the advancement of the Gospel to the lost, but also progress of the faith and its truth among followers of Christ.  An important fyi:  you can catch our prepared broadcast daily on www.ronniefloydwinners.com anytime during the day.  In other words, we will place the actual day’s broadcast from us on this website and you can view 24/7.  We will also have them on for the week, adding one per day until the week is completed.  We hope you will visit this newly designed website regularly.  It is up today for the first time and the work is splendid by Brian Armas and Alan Damron.

The incredible blessing of this is the “daily presence across the world.”  This is critical to the building of an audience, but also to engaging various people world-wide with Good News.  Pray for us, our team who is assisting in this, as well as the success during this season of opportunity.  Only God knows how long the door will be open, but it is open widely today.  We need you to begin partnering with us today.

Praise our blessed Lord Jesus for this season!
