Thanks For Praying Yesterday

Categories:Between Sundays

I want to thank you on behalf of our entire communications team for praying for us yesterday.  For three hours, I sat before a camera, sharing gospel presentations, welcomes, inspirational words, and other things with an audience that is destined to hear it beginning on April 3 across the world.  Daystar ShootOn this day, we will begin taking the gospel of Jesus to across the world via the Daystar Christian Television Network.  Last year, that network recorded thousands of decisions from over 145 countries of the world, through their programming alone.  Additionally, people came to Christ from every state in our nation and every Canadian province.  Yes, their reach is extraordinary and we are overjoyed and humbled by the privilege of partnering with them.  Thanks again for praying and thanks to our team that worked together.

I have a couple of brief radio interviews with stations in Detroit and Yuma, Arizona today.  In these interviews I am talking about my most recent book, Finding The Favor Of God.  They are both only 10 minute interviews of which I am very grateful.

Three Days is about to take place on April 2, 9, and 16 in our church.  The teaching and preaching ministry will be central to these three days that will be accented by drama, music, testimony, and video.  Day 1: The Day of Ministry; Day 2: The Day of Sacrifice; Day 3: The Day of Victory.  The entire emphasis is built upon the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ in an engaging and innovative way.  I believe you will love it. You can read a brief synopsis and watch the trailer at www.threedays.tv. On this website you can even invite a friend to come, by sending them an “e-vite”.

Did you know God is doing some great things among us?  Yes, He is moving dramatically in the lives of many of our people.  He is meeting some tremendous needs among our people.  He is comforting so many who have experienced grief or illness or disease.  Our God is our Healer!  Hallelujah to the Lamb of God.

What is God doing through you today?  Anything new, life-changing, or have you just been plagued with “sameness” and “dryness.”  Oh friend, let God do something new in you.  Pause your life . . . let Him speak . . . let Him move.  The song is right, “And the things of the world grow strangely dim, in the Light of His Glory and Grace.”  Just make sure you do not love the things of the world more than you yearn after Him.  Again, push “pause” today sometime.  Ask God, “Lord, do a fresh and new work in my life.”

God is always attracted to a yearning heart.

Hours Before The Television Camera Today

Categories:Between Sundays

Daystar ShootMost of the afternoon I will be before television cameras speaking to the entire world the life-changing message of Jesus Christ.  Even though it is only March 13, we are preparing for the launch of our daily global broadcast that begins on April 3.  This involves me being before the camera several hours speaking to the virtual audience that will become real on April 3 and beyond.

I will be taping gospel presentations, doing prayers, openers and closers, as well as speaking to other issues of need.  It takes intense preparation from everyone who will participate in the process.  This involves writers, administrators, servants, technically gifted people, and others.  My part involves little preparation compared to the rest of the people.  There is no doubt, it is a team effort.  We cannot do it without the entire team.

Prayer is imperative for today, not only for me, but for our people who are guiding and participating in this global endeavor. What a privilege for each of us to be a part.  Each person is joining me in this Great Commission task.  We must have your prayer support.  Set-up takes place in the morning. Daystar ShootI begin taping at 12:00 noon. Please, please pray.  Pray for anointing as I speak, logistical problems to be minimized to non-existent, and guidance to be clear.  After today, then the work begins in another way:  the broadcasts begin to be edited and what we do today fit into each one to provide this daily privilege of taking the Gospel of Jesus to the world.  Of course above all, pray for people to come to Jesus and for ministry to take place to all who will watch beginning on April 3.

Is God not great in this day in which we live:  I will walk into my Springdale office at 12:00 noon and from that place spread the gospel to the entire world!  I praise my God for this privilege and this blessing of technology.  The ultimate purpose of technology is to distribute the message of Jesus to a lost and dying world.  Let’s never forget that.

I am thankful for our church, for those who will support our Winners television ministry, for our team who will partner with me, and for the DayStar Christian Television Network who will carry this daily broadcast.  They are the second largest and the fastest growing Christian network in the entire world, going into every country of the world.  See who they are and what their reach for Christ by going to:  www.daystar.com. Additionally, you can read about our television ministry at:  www.ronniefloydwinners.com

One more time:  please pray for us today.

Yesterday’s Summit

Categories:Between Sundays

We were jam-packed at the Summit Business Persons Luncheon at our Pinnacle Hills location.  It was a splendid day and experience for all that were present.  We can only hold an estimated 530 people around tables in our present location, but we could have sold 1,000 tickets the demand was so great.  If you were not there, please order a CD as soon as possible.

Gus Malzahn, the new Offensive Coordinator of the University of Arkansas Razorbacks did an outstanding job.  We interviewed him and learned so much about him:  who he really is, what makes him tick, we talked football, the upcoming season, and just about life.  I was really proud of my great friend and rejoice over his performance.

We have so many people that are hurting right now.  There are numerous people who have been sick and so many have been diagnosed with cancer.  When you think you are going through it, always remember, it could be much worse.

Friend Day is Sunday, March 12, at both of our locations.  I hope if you live in this region, you will attend.

May God give you grace this day.

Home From Liberty and Rolling Forward

Categories:Between Sundays

I got back very late yesterday afternoon, just before dark from Liberty University.  My day was jam-packed with early meetings concluding with an on-time and safe flight home.  I am so grateful when I am blessed with that.  I connected through Charlotte from Lynchburg and the connection was tight, but our early arrival into Charlotte relieved some of that stress.  I am thankful to God for all of it.

Liberty University is exploding with 9,500 students on campus this semester.  We were informed yesterday that we have had over 21,000 applicants for next fall, but will only permit 3,200 admissions.  With graduates leaving and these coming in, enrollment will climb over 10,000 in Lynchburg next fall.  Over 60 improvement projects are going on the campus right now and five new dormitories are being built for the fall.  Our goal is to be able to have successful managed growth that will last a long time.  The university is financially sound, operating at a profit level even with all of the projects going on and staff being hired.  Great preparation has taken us to this level and all are to be commended.  The average ACT score is now 22 and average SAT is over 1,000.  The Student body has 52% girls and 48% boys from every state and many countries from all across the world.  With this limited number being permitted to attend, should this discourage someone from still applying?

This should not discourage any of you from still sending your children or grandchildren to Liberty and making application even for the fall.  In fact, it ought to encourage you that it is exploding.  Opportunity is there so take it and inform others.  It is a very special place where the power of God is evident.

For each of us it should remind us that God is moving in all kinds of places in all kinds of ways in our nation and world.  We need to be encouraged the Lord is preparing another generation of faithful and tenacious followers.  Let’s pray for their success to change America and the world.

It has already been a very profitable morning.  Pray for me.  The pressures escalate daily.  The decisions are challenging.

Attending Liberty Unversity Board Meeting Today

Categories:Between Sundays

Yesterday afternoon, Mike Daniels, one of my associates and I  flew on US AIR to Lynchburg, Virginia.  Last night I participated in the Inauguration of Dr. Ergun Caner as the new President of Liberty Theological Seminary.  It was a meaningful experience for all of us.  He is a great man, fabulous preacher and theologian, and will serve as the greatest President in this young seminary’s history.

At 8:45 p.m. we met the Liberty Students from our ministry who could meet with us for a late night dinner.  Of course, for college students, they are just getting started at 8:45 p.m.  We had a great time, hearing updates, reports about what God is doing in their lives, and their plans for the summer and upcoming years.  I am so proud of them.  They are so grateful for their education here, their home church, and what God is doing in their lives.

Beginning at 8:00 a.m. I have the Liberty University Board of Trustees annual meeting.  I will be involved in that until after lunch, get on a plane, and arrive home by 6:00 p.m. if the Lord gives me a safe and timely flight home.  I am praying He will do so.  Pray for us today.  Many great things are happening here at the world’s fastest growing evangelical Christian university, having over 9,500 resident students this spring.  The growth continues to astound all.  One day when you are in the state of Virginia, you need to come and see what God has done.  Liberty is a little over three hours from the great Washington D.C.

It all began with a leader and a local church.  The leader, Jerry Falwell, and the church, the Thomas Road Baptist Church.  From this leader’s heart and from this church’s vision, has arisen one of the greatest works of God in the history of the church.  Wow…what one church can do that will get in on the flow of God.  What an amazing testimony of the power of God.

What makes Liberty University the greatest and fastest growing evangelical Christian university in the world is:  its bold and unashamed commitment to the infallibility of Holy Scripture, its commitment to the fulfillment of the Great Commission, and its centrality and emphasis on the local church.  This is why God is blessing it.  This is why God is moving on this campus.  This is why one day it will stand taller in numbers and acts of God than any other university in the Christian arena.  You may say, “You really believe in that place, don’t you?”  My answer is simple:  “I have attended and preached on many Christian campuses.  There is none even close to Liberty University.”  I pray God will raise up more like it.  The church needs it.  America needs it.  The world needs it.  May it happen to God’s honor.

To God be the glory.

Enjoying The Sun

Categories:Between Sundays

PeytonHow about these new pictures of Peyton, enjoying the sun with Kate’s Dad, Don Elliott?Don and Mona kept him overnight last Friday as Josh and Kate went to the State Basketball Tournament to support our Shiloh Boys team.  They had some fun in the sun on Friday afternoon.  He is one cool kid!

Alan Damron, Brian Armas, Ergun CanerLast night was a special night at church as Dr. Alan Damron shared the vision of our media ministry taking the gospel to the world.  He did a great job. Brian Armas, who takes care of our Web Ministry across the world shared as well.  It was one of those Sunday nights where I wished it would have been Sunday morning where so many otherscould have heard the word.  The Lord used Alan and Brian in a great way to get us outside of ourselves and our sights set on the world.

The next two days will be interesting as I make a flying trip (no pun intended) to Liberty University for our Annual Board of Trustees Meeting.  I leave at noon today and return late Tuesday afternoon. Upon arrival tonight, I will attend and lead in prayer at Dr. Ergun Caner’s Inauguration as President of Liberty Theological Seminary.  I am the Chairman of this Seminary Committee of the university and look forward to this strategic moment.  Dr. Caner is a great scholar and minister of the gospel … a true apologist in our culture.  Tomorrow morning I will attend our Board Meeting and then fly home tomorrow afternoon.  Please pray for a safe and timely flight, as well as God to lead me over these next two days.

Next Sunday, March 12, will be a huge day at both of our campuses as we observe our Friend Day emphasis.  As we concentrate on this special emphasis, we will pray for God to move mightily, drawing the people here who really need to be here.  We are believing God for thousands to be present for this day. We will work strategically and diligently to see this happen.  Invite, invite, and invite others to experience March 12 with us.

Congratulations to all of our students who were involved in State Basketball Tournament Competition over the past several days.  Many were involved from several of our schools and we are proud of each of them.

March is here already . . . can you even believe it?  Be blessed and be sure and point people to www.betweensundays.com

The Office of the President

Categories:Between Sundays

U.S. PresidentsI have always been supportive of the Office of the President of the United States. Even in the darkest hours of some of our Presidents over the past 30 years of my adult life, I have done this. Yes, some of those moments have been very dark in the nation.

The United States of America is the greatest country on this earth. One of the things that makes this country so stand out is the belief in the Office of the President.  It is not about “the man in office” or about “his performance.” It is not about “the party.” It is about the office itself. It is about honor and respect to our leader, the President.

None of us can imagine the excruciating challenges that this office faces daily. All I know is the longer I see men occupy this office over extended periods of time, the aging process begins to show dramatically.  This insures the reason is not only years, but pressure. Pressure that exists from early morning until late at night and even during the night.  Pressure that is 24-7.  Pressure that never lets up even while away for a few days of diversion supposedly called “vacation” or “travel” or ”relaxation.”

My counsel to each of us at this time and always in our future, support and honor the Office of the President.  What the political handlers of Washington, the professional politicians, and the national and international media does is absolutely wrong!  Their endless assaults upon this office is just not acceptable. My questions are: What would you do Mr. or Mrs. Know it All? How would you be calling the plays? Most are people with “personal agendas.” Most would die or fold due to the pressure.

Honoring the President is right regardless of person or performance. It is one of the major contributing factors to making us the greatest nation of the world.  It is not about the man, the party, or the performance; but, it is about what is right. It shows our strength in diversity of beliefs and our commitment to oneness as a nation. All of this reminds me again …

Pray for the man and the Office of the President daily.

Mom’s 78th Birthday is Today

Categories:Between Sundays

Today will be a very difficult birthday for my Mom as she turns 78 years of age.  She and Dad always made a huge deal out of birthdays for themselves, their children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.  It always involved the entire family, even though distance from them over these past 19 plus years eliminated our participation in them.  Please pray for her.

If you would like to send a personal email birthday wish to my Mom, encouraging her in prayer, you can do so by sending it to: elva@betweensundays.com. PLEASE DO NOT EMAIL A CARD THAT REQUIRES A DOWNLOAD OF ANY KIND.  We will forward all messages to my sister, who will print and take them home to Mom. I will inform my sister I am asking some of you, whoever desires, to do this.  Just a paragraph of encouragement, love, and support in prayer with a “Happy Birthday” would be appreciated by this son of a broken-hearted widow.  She and Dad’s 56th anniversary is on March 10, so these first few days of March will be difficult for her.  Most of all, a prayer on her behalf today would be appreciated.  The birthday wish can begin with:  Dear Mrs. Floyd…again, send to: elva@betweensundays.com.

I pray you have had a good week.  I believe I have a meaningful and impactful word for this Sunday.  I hope you will attend if you live in Northwest Arkansas.  If you do not, you can listen “live” or download later the message for Sunday on:  www.ronniefloydwinners.com

Remember to pray for our television ministry personnel as they prepare us for the move to daily national television on April 3.  This is a big chunk to bite off, so they need your support in prayer.  These are great days filled with multiple and great opportunities.  We want to seize each one of them for the Lord.

Have a great day.  Thanks for praying for Mom today.

Meetings Over In Dallas

Categories:Between Sundays

My meetings with GuideStone Financial Services are over and I will return on Thursday to Northwest Arkansas. It has been a very busy time, attending meetings, answering phone calls in between meetings, and working on the computer staying in touch with matters in Northwest Arkansas. At the same time, dealing with tech problems on my computer, compounding challenges otherwise. Needless to say, the week is one-half over and I feel it has been a full week already.

I am used to leading meetings, not sitting in them. I think sitting in meetings, listening, observing, and adding something to them periodically is far more tiring. I am always amused when I return from a series of meetings from here or other places and people ask me “Did you get some rest while you were gone?” Hello! Rest does not happen in these kinds of meetings. Diversion does occur, but not rest.

We did get to spend Wednesday night with Nick and Meredith which was a plus for the week. They are well and happy. They live very busy and occupied lives. With both working full-time and Nick going to seminary, the challenges are great. Please pray for them and God’s favor upon upon their lives.

Hey, we have a big day coming up at church on both of our campuses. On Sunday, March 12, we are having FRIEND DAY. This is a day where we really encourage our people to bring friends to worship. Friend Day is really weekly, but we highlight a day as a friendly reminder to all of us. If you would like, come to our church on that day. I will be speaking about how to … ADVANCE THROUGH DISCOURAGEMENT. I do think the message will be encouraging to you.

Be blessed my friend … join me for Friend Day.
