My Journey
My journey continues as Husband, Dad, Pops, Pastor, and Friend. Of course, I wear more hats than these but the journey is rewarding. The secret to happiness in the journey is not in titles, but relationships. It all begins with my relationship with Christ being right and refreshing. Out of this daily, comes the strength and joy of connecting with so many people. I am grateful for the privilege to be on the journey.
Jeana had a splendid Valentine’s Dinner for me and a group of four others on Tuesday night. The food was fabulous and the fellowship was sweet. She did a great job making it a special day.
Meredith is speaking at Liberty University today and tomorrow. She has taken off of work three days to accommodate this request. She is speaking to several classes and some larger formats about the role and ministry of young women. She is an excellent communicator. This is just like her: she is asked to do this at no financial reimbursement. She uses three days of vacation time, pays her own flight to Liberty which is always expensive, gives three days of her life and will receive no financial compensation in return. This is what makes she and Nick special . . . they are givers . . . they are servers . . . A seminary couple with limited financial resources making this sacrifice. I love them and praise God for this great testimony.
Tom Mullins, Senior Pastor of Christ Fellowship in South Florida is in town, speaking to the Summit today after ministering to our staff yesterday afternoon. Tom is a superb communicator and is now speaking in all kinds of venues with some high-powered personalities. His church is exploding in beautiful South Florida. Come to the Summit today . . . I am telling you, he is super! You will leave charged up and encouraged beyond words. Do not miss it!
God is moving in our midst, getting us ready for some special and God-sized days. We have been in a major season of investing, seed-planting, and cultivation . . . I believe we are getting ready to launch in a major way this fall, if not before. The spiritual tide is rising. God is working in the lives of our people. Our staff is transitioning . . . God is calling some of them away and some of them into various segments of ministry within our ministry. Special preparation is being made.
Your journey is like mine: challenging, rewarding, grinding, exciting, but refreshing I pray. Look for God to move in your life . . . He wants to so open your life and let Him do some special things in you. Enjoy the journey!
