About four weeks ago now I was studying early Sunday Morning. Bebo Norman was singing "You Can Borrow Mine" He said a phrase in his lyrics "I'll set a light up". My mind went to the action my wife always takes before going to bed if any of the children are still out-she turns on the porch light. I knew she wanted to tell the children (you are welcome home). I thought Lord "How can we turn the light on for the sinners all around us." I broke down and wept as I thought of all of them and the difficulty in reaching such a number. All the way to church I kept breaking down and had to bite my lip to be able to control my weeping enough to drive. Then I thought of something. The buildings we are building at church-but especially the sports fields are like a light to the youth in our area. I pray by God's Grace that they will be indeed a light on a hill; lifted up to tell them that God cares and that we care and that they are welcome HOME to Jesus. I am still shaking and tearing up as I tell it to you. I hope you get the message of this-Lets sit a light on a hill and welcome all the sinners home. Yesterday, after hearing your message on the "Lost" of the world, I was returning home from the CPH 9:15 service, and as I pulled into my driveway, I noticed a woman driving in front of my home, but clearly showing the signs of being lost by continuing to look at the directions she was given. I was able to ask her if she was looking for a particular address and she showed me the directions - I could quickly see she was given the incorrect directions. I told her to follow me that I would take her to the address she was looking for - she was so thankful to me for guiding her to the correct location. This was such a neat experience.
